Checking the Internet Connectivity

  • First, go for the option of the network administrator and check that Netflix is not accidentally blocked.
  • Check the speed of your device network’s if it is slower than the usual speed, then switch the device towards other Networks.
  • To advance the checking, you can run a speed test on an internet-based site. There are several sites available on the internet for this purpose.
  • Now, reboot your device.
  • If your streaming device is at your home and you are using a home network, then perform an unplugging and a plugging task for your modem and router. This will execute a reboot process of your Network.

  • Choose the option for Network Settings, then select the Internet Connection Settings.

For Xbox

  1. Tap on the Guide button from your controllers; this will launch the Settings.
  2. Locate the System Settings, then go for the option of Network settings.

Turning off the BT Parental Control to fix NW-2-5 Error

This alternative method is for those who are using BT or better known as an Internet Provider. If you want to execute or try this method to fix the NW-2-5 Error, then follow the following steps:

  1. Go to MY BT option.
  2. Enter the details into the login tab. The details must be provided to you by your BT provider.
  3. Hover down through the page and locate the My Extras option.
  4. Tap on the Personalize your settings tab.
  5. Choose the very next option appearing after BT Parental Controls.
  6. Turn off the BT Parental controls.
